About
Aswin thrives on helping his clients communicate more easily and enjoy a better quality of life through better hearing. Genuine, knowledgeable and committed to his profession, he takes the time to understand each person’s needs and find solutions that make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.
Aswin has a particular interest in understanding the differences between the many hearing and amplification options available today. He takes an evidence-based approach to audiology and is committed to ongoing professional development through courses, seminars and continuing education. He brings what he learns back to his practice, sharing that knowledge with his clients so they can feel informed and confident about their hearing care.
Aswin began his career as a Clinical Audiologist in India, where he worked with children and adults with hearing loss, including clients with more complex hearing needs. He later practiced audiology in Australia before moving to Canada and settling in Kelowna. He has been serving clients in the Kelowna and West Kelowna communities since 2015 and co-founded HearCare Audiology with his wife, Mikhila, in 2021.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Audiology and a Master of Science in Audiology from Osmania University in India. He is a Registered Audiologist and Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and holds an Advanced Certificate in Cerumen (earwax) Assessment and Management. He is also a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada.
Outside the clinic, Aswin enjoys spending time with his family, hiking the Okanagan’s trails, visiting its beautiful beaches and riding his Triumph motorcycle. In the winter, you can find him skiing at Telemark Nordic Club in West Kelowna.
Aswin earned his Bachelor of Science in Audiology in 2007 and Master of Science in Audiology in 2009 from Osmania University in India. He has continued to expand his knowledge throughout his career through ongoing professional development, courses and seminars in audiology, hearing technology and hearing care.
